Assam Police Recruitment 2020: Eligibility
Stenographer (English), Grade-III (HQ): · Graduate in any discipline with NCVT passed certificate from recognized ITI of Assam with 40 wpm computer type speed and 120 wpm in shorthand in English.
Tech. Assistant (HQ): · Passed HSLC or Equivalent Certificate with Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 3 years of industrial experience.
Statistical Assistant (Employment Wing): ·  Graduate from a recognized university with Economics or Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subject in Graduation
Pharmacist (ITI): ·  Higher Secondary passed and Diploma in pharmacy with 1 years’ Experience.
Instructor – Stenography (English): · B. Voc. / Degree in Commerce / Arts (with shorthand & Typing) OR Diploma in Commercial Practice with 2 years’ experience OR NTC / Apprentice Certificate with 3 Years’ Experience.
Junior Instructor: · Passed HSLC or Equivalent Certificate and Passed National Apprenticeship Certificate or National Trade Certificate in appropriate trades.
Junior Assistant (HQ / ITI): ·  Graduate in any discipline with a minimum 6 (six) months certificate in Computer course
Hostel Superintendent cum PTI: ·  Graduate in Physical Education
Store Keeper (ITI): ·   Passed HSLC or Equivalent and 6 months Computer Certificate / ITI is essential.
Librarian (ITI): · Higher Secondary passed and Must have 1 (one)year experience of using a computer and Computer Applications having Library Software.
Dresser (ITI): · Passed HSLC or Equivalent Certificate of Dresser from recognized Institute or 5 years working knowledge
Grade-IV: · Class VIII Passed
Workshop / Store attendant: ·  Class VIII Passed
Assam Police Recruitment 2020: Selection Process:-
There will be two tests for recruitment of all the posts ; 1.      First Phase Test and 2.      Second Phase Test
First Phase Test
For all the above-mentioned posts (except Grade-IV) : ·  The duration of the Written Test will be of 2 ½ hours. ·The test will be of 100 marks with 100 questions and will be completely OMR based. · Each question will carry 1 (one) mark. There will be a negative marking of ½ (half) mark for each wrong answer. · Written The test will be conducted as the First Phase Test on the subjects i.    General Mathematic ii.    English & Vernacular (Grammar & Comprehension & Composition) iii.  Logical Reasoning and Aptitude iv.    Assam’s History, Geography, Polity & Economy v.     General awareness / General knowledge and Current affairs.
For the posts of Grade-IV : · The Written Test will be of 50 marks and will be completely OMR based. · There will be 50 questions and each question will carry 1 (one) mark. · There will be no negative marking. ·  Duration of the Test will be 1 ½ hour. ·  The question paper will be set in three parts as under : i.  General Knowledge & current affairs ii.  Matter relating to the History of Assam iii. Cultural, Polity, Geography, Economy etc of Assam.
Second Phase Test:-
After completion of the Written Test, a merit list will be prepared for each category of posts including Zone-wise posts (Jr. Asstt. & Grade-IV) for both (male and female) on the basis of total marks scored in Written Test. The SECOND PHASE TEST will be a computer-based exam to test the knowledge of posts applied and proficiency in computer operations
