71 Sub Area Recruitment 2021 Eligibility
Labourer : 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised board.
Fireman : 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised board. Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguisher, hose fittings and fire appliances and equipment’s, fire engines, trailer, pumps, foam branches. Must be conversant with foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and be able to perform the task allotted to the members of fire crew. Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the physical fitness test as under : Height : 165 CM, Weight 50 Kg and Chest 81.5-85 CMS
Physical Endurance Test
Carrying a man (fireman lift of 65.5 Kgs to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds). Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch landing on both feet (long jumps). Climbing 3 meters vertical rope using hands and feet.
71 Sub Area Vacancy Selection Process
The written test will form overall merit and minimum passing marks are 33%. The written test will comprise of four parts as per the details mentioned below. The question – Paper – cum – Answer Sheet of Written Test will be bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi. However, the questions in the portion of English language will be in English and to be answered in English only. Exam Duration : 02 Hours Negative Marking : 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.    Subjects No. of Qs. General Intelligence : The test will include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization problem solving analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The test will also  include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation other analytical functions. English Language : In addition to the testing of candidates understanding of the English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc his / her writing ability would also be tested. Numerical Aptitude : This paper will include questions on problem relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimal and Fractions and relationship between Number, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss. Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work etc. General Awareness : Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation. The test will also include questions related to India and its neighbouring countries, Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economics science, General Policy including Constitution, and Scientific Research etc.
